Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, Peter O’Neill is running from arrest as reported by PNG Loop.

The Prime Minister is wanted for questioning over the Paraka case that involved millions of state money.

The warrant of arrest was issued last Thursday with a covering letter from Police Commissioner Tom Kulunga, requesting the Prime Minister’s presence for the interview. That letter was sent this morning.

He has been implicated in the Paul Paraka saga for allegedly signing off on documents authorising the payments to Paraka.

According to the police at about  11 this morning a letter and a copy of the warrant of arrest were sent to O’Neill, with the letter asking him to make himself available at the fraud squad headquarters in Konedobu for an interview.

He has claimed them to be forgeries.

Meanwhile, the PM is at risk of being arrested on sight according to police headquarters sources.
