The Internal Revenue Commission has plans to modernize its operation by creating online facility where companies can lodge in their annual tax returns online

This comes as good news for business owners who spend grueling time standing on long queues to manually lodge in their annual tax returns.

The news was revealed by the Betty Palaso, the commissioner general of IRC in response to a concern raised by PNG Edge on the inefficacies caused by manual lodgment of annual tax returns.

“Currently we are allowing the manual lodgment of the annual tax returns.

“But we have included online lodgment of tax returns in our modernization plan”

“To have a website that allows companies to lodge in their tax returns online.

“In the meantime, business owners can download our tax forms on our website, fill it and email it to us” Ms Palaso says.
